Your SAP system has been running for years. But for how much longer?
SAP ECC will remain under standard support until 2027. After that, it will become more expensive, riskier, and more technically complex. RISE with SAP is your path to the cloud without having to rebuild everything from scratch.

What will happen if you wait any longer?
Many companies keep putting off the migration. That's understandable, but it gets more expensive every year.
Competitive Disadvantage
Those who migrate sooner benefit from AI, cloud features, and real-time data right from the start.
Rising Costs
Extended Maintenance is more expensive than Standard Support and only postpones the problem.
Security Risks
Without regular patches, your IT infrastructure becomes increasingly vulnerable.

The most common questions before the first interview
Who decides whether a public or private cloud is the right choice?
That decision is yours to make. We’ll help you make an informed decision. Your requirements are the deciding factor: How much do your processes deviate from the standard? How many customizations do you really need? What industry and compliance requirements apply?
As a rule of thumb: The public cloud is suitable for companies that rely largely on the proven SAP standard. It can be implemented more quickly, is more cost-effective to operate, and is always up to date. The private cloud offers more flexibility for customizations and complex requirements.
In our Digital Discovery Assessment, we work with you to analyze your processes and provide a clear recommendation.
What happens to our historical data?
Your data will not be lost. As a rule, we transfer the data necessary for ongoing operations to the new system—typically master data (customers, vendors, items, accounts), open items, and balance carryovers.
The complete transaction history, on the other hand, rarely needs to be transferred. It can be archived in an audit-compliant manner and remains accessible if needed. This keeps the new system lean while still ensuring you meet all retention requirements. We’ll work with you to define exactly what data will be transferred in a migration plan.
How long does a typical migration take?
That depends on the scope and the approach. It would be irresponsible to give a blanket figure. A focused implementation project in the public cloud can go live in just a few months. More extensive projects involving many processes and integrations take correspondingly longer.
To provide you with a reliable estimate, we determine the effort and timeline before submitting a proposal through our Digital Discovery Assessment. Realistic, not over-optimized.
Can we continue working as usual during the migration?
Yes. Your existing system will continue to run throughout the entire project. The rollout will take place in parallel on the new system; your day-to-day operations will not be affected.
Only for the actual switchover—the cutover around the go-live—is there a short, precisely planned time window. We’ll coordinate this with you well in advance, usually scheduling it for a weekend or a period of low sales volume, so that the impact remains minimal.
Do we have to rebuild all the Customizing settings?
Not as a simple 1:1 copy—and that’s an opportunity. For a new implementation (greenfield), we build your configuration from scratch based on proven SAP best practices. We deliberately leave out legacy issues that have accumulated over the years. We specifically map out what you really need.
In the public cloud, this is achieved through standardized configuration rather than traditional in-house development. This keeps your system future-proof and capable of receiving updates. In the fit-gap analysis, we work with you to determine which of your processes are directly covered by the standard and where there is a genuine need for customization.
