What exactly is SAP Joule?
Joule is SAP’s generative AI assistant. It is embedded directly in SAP cloud applications such as SAP Cloud ERP, SAP Ariba, SAP Analytics Cloud and the Business Technology Platform. You use it in natural language. It answers questions from your data, performs tasks and flags anomalies. Joule now includes over 40 specialized AI agents.
Do we need a separate AI license?
Joule is available to RISE with SAP and SAP Cloud ERP customers, in RISE with SAP at no additional license cost. A configured SAP BTP, SAP Cloud Identity Services and suitable authorizations are required. What applies in your case we clarify based on your contracts.
Is our data safe with Joule?
Joule works in your SAP environment and follows your role concept. A user only sees through Joule what they could see anyway. A clean role concept is therefore part of our implementation.
Can we build our own AI agents?
Yes. With Joule Studio, the low-code toolkit in SAP Build, you create your own agents and skills for your processes. We help choose sensible use cases instead of piling up custom development for every special case.
