psb intralogistics plans and realizes complete systems for material flow and storage within companies in production and distribution. All manufacturing steps are concentrated at one single location, the headquarters in Pirmasens (Germany). This creates a seamless integration and guarantees a smooth project flow in planning, design, production, assembly, IT engineering, order picking, maintenance and service – all from one source.
Ausgangssituation und Projektziel:
The previous heterogeneous system landscape is to be replaced and an integrated ERP system created. SAP S/4HANA was chosen as the ERP system. In addition to the business benefits of an integrated solution, a reduction in systems/databases, interfaces, as well as improved maintainability and the use of modern technologies are the primary goals. S/4HANA is to be introduced gradually, installed on-premise, and both GUI transactions and Fiori apps will be used.
The first major step towards a holistic SAP system was to replace the previous legacy system Wilken Entire Financials/Controlling. Hereby, cross-company postings (including document parking) were of particular relevance.
Another main task of the project was to ensure an interface connection to the initially still existing PSI Penta system (for logistics and production) to SAP S/4HANA Financials/Controlling.
