SAP has not withdrawn the end of classic Warehouse Management (LE-WM) for the end of 2027, but as of version 1909 of S/4HANA there is Stock Room Management. Stock Room Management corresponds to the basic functionalities of classic Warehouse Management (WM) and is also based on the same program code, but certain advanced functionalities of WM are no longer included.

- Task & Resource Management (WM-TRM)
- Interface warehouse control computer (WM-LSR) - i.e. the IDoc connection
- Value Added Services (WM-VAS)
- Yard-Management (WM-YM)
- Cross-Docking (WM-CD)
- Wave management (WM-TFM-CP)
- Decentral WM (WM-DWM)
Thus, as the name implies, Stockroom Management is intended for very small warehouses or “storerooms” for which Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) is oversized. A connection of automated warehouses is therefore no longer possible in the standard via the IDoc interface.
